The Lenovo Tab M10 Plus

Though Android tablets never really took off, Lenovo released them regularly over the years and managed to carve out a niche for itself with its cheap offerings. At MWC 2022, the company announced the third generation of its popular Lenovo Tab M10 Plus tablet with some important improvements that offer a better user experience.

With a narrow bezel design, the M10 Plus sports a 10.61-inch 2K IPS LCD panel capable of brightness levels of 400 nits – a slight improvement in size and resolution over the 10.3-inch FHD panel of the predecessor. To complete the immersive experience when viewing content, the tablet features Dolby Atmos-certified quad speakers.

The two-tone metal body and large display might not reflect the device’s budget nature, but the internals do. The M10 Plus features an eight-core MediaTek G80 chipset paired with 3/4GB of RAM and up to 128GB of storage. Lenovo will also sell an LTE variant of the device with a Snapdragon 680 chip in select markets.

There is no fingerprint sensor, but the tablet supports Face Unlock. Other specs are nothing special and include 8MP front and rear cameras, a microphone, USB Type-C, a dedicated microSD card slot, a 3.5mm jack and a 7700mAh battery with 20 -W-Fast charge support. However, the company only bundles a 10W adapter in the box. The Tab M10 Plus runs on Android 12 by default, with the Android 13 update “expected” to be ready by 2023 and Lenovo promising security updates for three years.

The 1.03 pound tablet will be available in Storm Gray and Frost Blue colors. It will go on sale in June 2022 with prices starting at $190. The optional stylus is sold as an accessory in most markets.
